Founders’ Story

Arrow Robotics Ltd., a Canadian corporation established in 2018 with an experienced multinational management team, is a systems integrator. Its primary product development activities to date have centered around security and surveillance, with a focus on both the military/government and commercial markets. Its Owl Series™️ Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) mobile platform, outfitted with advanced sensor payloads, is capable of actively gathering, processing, organizing, and prioritizing intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) data to facilitate decision making at the tactical and command & control level. Arrow security/surveillance robots are intended primarily for use in military, homeland security, law enforcement, as well as commercial applications. Owl sensor payloads, communications, and computer software can be configured to client needs. The Owl design provides for the incorporation of complementary technologies in response to specific mission requirements and compatibility with legacy systems.

Arrow has expanded its focus to address the need for enhanced disinfection due to the coronavirus pandemic. The global imperative presented by the commercial market is considerable: people need to feel safe when in public, whether it be in transportation, the healthcare environment, and other public places and facilities (hotels, commercial office buildings, major retail, etc.). Restoring their confidence is paramount.

Arrow’s core robotics platform hardware is ready for manufacture, systems integration, and sale. The security & surveillance platform includes a command-and-control operating system with near-real-time situational awareness, enhanced visualization and analytics, and critical decision-making capabilities for rapid response as well as intelligence gathering and prosecutorial/evidentiary material gathering. The platform payload supports a broad application ecosystem.

The Company’s disinfection platform is being developed for use in hospitals and other healthcare facilities, commercial aircraft, subway and rail cars, airports, cruise line ships, fleet vehicles (e.g. rental cars, etc.), warehouse and industrial facilities, and more. Rather than the sensor arrays of its security robot, the chassis can instead hold virus-killing ultraviolet (UV-C) lights and electrostatic disinfection sprayers. Arrow believes this two-stage process, coupled with its modular robotic platform that includes articulating sprayer arms, will be a highly differentiated product line in the professional protection equipment (disinfection) marketplace.

The Company holds or will hold, directly and through its teaming partners, worldwide patents and intellectual property and manufacturing rights and licenses.

Additionally, Arrow’s key technologies can themselves be configured as standalone solutions or combined to meet specific client needs.

Integration

Owl Series™ Security/Surveillance Robots

The Arrow Owl Series Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) system includes a robotic platform (the physical robot, including firmware); software (the remote command-and-control capability which issues the commands and responds to data feedback in real time, enhanced visualization features, data collection, and data analytics); payload (sensor and situational awareness capabilities configured to client needs); service support (training, maintenance, parts replacement); and ongoing software upgrades and software support-a complete turnkey system.

The four modular Owl Series variants offer the ability to tailor both payload, software and mobility to meet current mission objectives and a platform for future upgrades. They are built on wheeled, tracked and hybrid chassis and range from units providing just video capture to comprehensive sensor systems employing biometrics, ALPR, thermal cameras, video analytics, intelligence database management and networking with other security/surveillance assets. The Owl system offers the ability to tailor both payload, software and mobility to meet current mission objectives and a platform for future upgrades.

Owl UGVs have advanced software enabling them to be networked with each other. Their command-and-control software combines the Owl’s robotic body locomotion and sensors into a fusion of multi-sensor data to hand off secure, actionable data and information from multiple robots to a command-and-control node.
